Does anyone know if there is a place to download a demo VHD file? I know MS has many demos like these for other products. You download it and configure the virtual machine and done, no installing the OS, quick and easy.

You're not missing much! I've booted into it two or three times since they first released it.

I've used both the dev preview and the consumer preview of windows 8, and I must say after having it on a touch tablet and desktop, I'm impressed with the latest preview. Once you learn the ins and outs of navigation (like any new os, especially touch), it really works well. People seem to be complaining a lot about metro, but I rather enjoy it. For touch, it's great, and for desktop its OK, but can be easily ignored for business use ( I use it at work on desktop, and touch tablet at work/home).

From what I've seen/heard, most complaints/problems are easily solved with a little extra how-to, yes?

Metro is the only reason to upgrade... But it needs a lot of work, IMO.

I'm not excited for Windows 8 at all. It looks really bad. I'd prefer Mac OS X Mountain Lion any day...

Supposedly Windows 8 will support everything that 7 does... but everything usually really means most.

I'll probably be on W7 until W9 comes out. :D

Microsoft seems to do a crappy job on every other OS.
Windows 2k (Good) --> Windows ME (Very Bad) --> XP (Good) --> Vista (Bad) --> W7 (Good) --> W8 (?)

Come on, Vista wasn't all that bad... It was just a trend to say so. It's so similar to 7.
